are you killing me?
I FELL OFF THE STAGE TODAY.
It hurts; don't do it.
We were playing tag on the stage (I'm not kidding--class of about 30 high school students running around shrieking in a very confined area) and I suppose it had to happen sooner or later. Unfortunately it happened to me, but anyway--I don't think anybody pushed me, but in my haste to escape the evil clutches of It, I misjudged my step and plummeted into the blackness. Fortunately the floor broke my fall. Man. I slammed into the ground, and the next thing I know Richard is pulling me up, I start laughing, River calls the game to a halt, and I make my way over to the chairs, swaying unsteadily only once on the brief road there (which spanned nearly six feet, oh my). For the most part, I landed on my back. Ah, I still wince at the memory. Good thing I can fall, right? Alei joins me to keep me company and after some debate the class plays Statues.
I really like doing debriefs in Calc. I pretty much laughed at myself through the next period, and since Brady wasn't there, I had fun and ample time to embellish my summary of the lesson of the day. I was in a fair mood. The pain became less amusing during lunch, though, and after some time when it crept away more slowly than I would have liked I might even classify it as "unpleasant." I think I flattened part of my head. Just kidding. I'm sure it was flat already. I will probably have a massive bruise in the morning, or else a traumatic loss of brain cells.
So yeah. Stay planted on both feet, kiddos!
At least I didn't fall onto the stairs.
