you and me and a bottle of wine

Boy, do weekends go by fast. Friday I delivered a belated Christmas/birthday gift to my old boss. Then I watched Grey's so I could return it to Karen, and my sister got hooked and I ended up watching more than I had intended. Saturday I awoke around 2 and around 5 went to Jen's, where she was watching Tokyo Drift with Alex, Aaron, and Jalene. Gary and Jen's mom arrived, and we played Guitar Hero and ate and then they wanted to watch Amityville Horror, so I was about to leave, but they convinced me to stay because it was supposedly highly amusing to watch Aaron and Gary being frightened out of their wits. It was not worth it. My own terror provided more amusement for the general audience than did the terror of the two guys. I'm such a wimp, but I don't care. I'd rather be a wimp who watches comedy than have my wits terrified out of me. We then watched Bewitched, which was okay, and then cut cake and played mj. Around 1 I had the whole gang escort me home because, well, it was pretty terrifying to walk in the dark, and then I made my sister sleep in my room after she finished with Nip/Tuck and an episode of Grey's because my other sister was sleeping at someone else's house, and we ended up talking into the wee hours of the morning until she insisted I shut up, but I was too afraid to close my eyes. So I finally slept around 5 or 6 AM, woke up around 2, and then she took Karen, Emma and me to the Great Mall. We came home around 8, and then I dropped off Grey's at Charles's house and stayed there for an hour talking. I've already previously observed that I have a difficult time saying no, but it just seems so much more true after discussion. I'll do anything for my friends. I never really noticed that before, but I do end up consenting to things that I don't really want to do (like watching a horror movie) even if it means I lose sleep over it.
